Ronnie Whomever

© 2015 by P Michael Biggs

Ronnie Rhythm played the drums
He often played them with his thumbs
But practice, Ronnie never
Regardless of whomever
Whenever
Wherever
And for whatsoever
Ronnie never ever
And soon they said we never
Knew Ronnie Whomever

Snow Day

© 2015 by P Michael Biggs

I want a snow day
A day when I won’t stray
Too far from home
No need to roam
On a snow day

I like it cozy
On a snow day
People are less nosy
Kids love to play
On a snow day

Its cozy inside
No need for a bromide
There’s no chance to collide
When I’m inside
On a snow day

The fire blazes hot
My book has a plot
There’s something in the pot
On this snow day

I’m warm as can be
It is just she and me
We drink our tea
On this we agree
We’re happy at home on a snow day

People Who Say 'Can't'

© 2016 by P Michael Biggs

People who say ‘you can’t’
They have a one-note chant
They have a lousy slant
On what you plant
They just keep sayin’ ‘you can’t’

People who say ‘you can’t’ don’t
They can’t ‘cause they won’t
They won’t do the work
They always wear a smirk
At best they resort to guesswork

But those who say ‘you can’, Amen
They’ll often try again and again
And where and when
They try again
You’ll usually see them build and then
That is my kind of friend

Time for a Silly Rhyme

© 2015 by P Michael Biggs

Who has time for a silly rhyme?
When there are rocks to climb
And pies made of lime
And ribs that are prime
Who has time for a silly rhyme?

Who has time for a silly rhyme?
When there is so much crime
And I need more time
To find my lost dime
Who has time for a silly rhyme?

Who has time for a silly rhyme?
Maybe during halftime
Maybe during hard times
Maybe even at lunch time
Who has time for a silly rhyme?

Who has time for a silly rhyme?
I’ll make time at springtime
When the drummer plays in time
And if I get some spare time
Then I’ll have time for a silly rhyme

Larry Lou and Sue

© 2015 by P Michael Biggs

Larry Lou and Sue
You should see what they do
They walk and talk
They go to Bangkok
That’s some of what they love to do

Larry Lou and Sue
Try to wear the same shoe
They fall and crawl
They can’t catch a foul ball
What are they going to do

The time has come to end
This poem that I have penned
It’s getting late
And I ain’t ate
Larry Lou and Sue remain friends
