The dark sky helps the stars to burn
bright
and offers a backdrop for their brilliant
light.
So, in this life, when troubles appear
we can know God’s hand is hovering near.
The misery we face serves to impart
growth and abundance in our restless
heart.
Blessing the battle, praising the pain
brings hidden life treasure to be gained.
Pausing to lift our darkness in praise
adds depth to our lives, and light to our
days.
In my pain and struggle, God, help me to
see
that You’re building a pathway to heaven
for me.
