At Christmas We Sing

At Christmas We Sing
© 2017 by P Michael Biggs

At Christmas, we sing
Of the baby born a King
And the bells, they ring
He was Gods own offspring

We express good cheer
To loved ones near
We lend an ear
Our hearts are sincere

The future is clear
We shed no tear
His love perseveres
At this time of year

The words we volunteer
The message is crystal clear
Love will domineer
God is the engineer

Some things remain unclear
Hate is still here
We hope it will disappear
Never to reappear

Hope is come
We sing, we strum
A song of cheer
The message is clear

Christmas has come
Ill play my drum
Pa rum pa-pa pum
Pa rum di-di dum

Christmas Has Come

Christmas Has Come
© 2017 by P Michael Biggs

Christmas is coming
And there’ll be humming,
Lots of drumming
A bit of strumming
And looking for what’s upcoming

Christmas is near
The season of cheer
Seeing loved one’s dear
No time for fear
At this time of year

Christmas is nearby
It’s time for pie
And eye’s that spy
We’ll hear contented sighs
And some will buy, buy, buy

Christmas is now
We’ll hear the ‘wow’
We put away the plow
And wonder at ‘how’
Did God allow
Christmas now?

In a world of woes
The world still glows
With lights and bows
And somehow, we know

Christmas has come
Pa rum pa pum pum

What Will You Do

What Will You Do
© 2017 by P Michael Biggs

Behold your wild and precious life;
what will you do?
Will you join a crew
and row to Perdue?

If you lose the game
will you ask for a re-do?
If someone tries to trick you
Will you be able to see through?

When things get tough
I hope you push through.
When you fail a test,
I hope you do a review.

As you grow older
May you develop a world view.
That, perhaps, may help you
keep from coming unglued.

And in the end
Will you always say, ‘Thank you’?
If you do, that shows
The best side of YOU!
