When all the scores are final,
when all the prizes are won
when we’ve won every title
and all the work is done
when all the prizes are won
when we’ve won every title
and all the work is done
After we own all we desire
after our appetites sated
after we quench every fire
after we gain that for which we waited
after our appetites sated
after we quench every fire
after we gain that for which we waited
Once we end our contention
once we give up fierce control
once we trade rest for tension
and surrender our wayward control
once we give up fierce control
once we trade rest for tension
and surrender our wayward control
As we learn to yield our will
as we relinquish our rights
as we become quiet and still
and seek immortal delights
as we relinquish our rights
as we become quiet and still
and seek immortal delights
Then our life begins to start
then we touch eternity
then we receive what God imparts
and we live abundantly
then we touch eternity
then we receive what God imparts
and we live abundantly
Only one prize can we own
only one possession will live
only this, all else is on loan
and it’s the love we receive and give.
only one possession will live
only this, all else is on loan
and it’s the love we receive and give.
