Christmas joy to you and yours
It’s whispered a thousand times this
season
And back of the greeting, what if …
What if there is a prayer for a simpler
time
A simpler life
A simpler joy
A slower pace
A longer lasting toy
What if the prayer includes
“Peace on earth, good will to all
mankind”
What if love was implied somewhere in the
message?
What if an invitation was included?
An invitation to come and dance
Would we dare reach out and take the
offered hand?
Would we dance the dance?
And if we dance
Then we just might, perhaps
Complete the prayer
It is a prayer of connection.
It is a prayer of hope.
It is, perhaps, the prayer of Christmas
