Vacation – the long anticipated

The fast moving train while experiencing it;

The fond memory after you return

We took a twelve-day vaca recently.

I allowed myself permission not to create

After returning I wondered if creativity had abandoned me.

It turns out creativity needed a vacation also.

So after the time warp unsettled my body

And I allowed, yes allowed my body’s clock to reorient

Indeed, creativity is returning,

And so is a sense of balance and adjustment back

I love vacations.

I love the moments away from the daily moments

And I love settling back into what was the normal

And I look for the fresh eyes with which to do normal
