If I Should Forget

If I should forget to say my prayers
God would still watch over me.
He would never forget me.

If I should forget to say ‘Thank you’
God would still be nearby,
watching, caring, and giving
again and again

If I should forget to say ‘Goodnight’,
He would never slumber nor sleep.
He would hover nearby, all night
just because I am loved.
He never takes his eyes off me

If I should complain that it is
too hot, too cold, to rainy
or we need more snow,
the world will still revolve.
the moon and stars will shine
and my heavenly Father will
keep loving me
through it all.

You see,
Sometimes I forget,
and yet, He never forgets me.

Hiding from My Dreams

I’ve had grand dreams,

and the I hid from them.

I was fearful.

Fearful that I couldn’t,

I was too …

I wasn’t …

I didn’t know this and that.

I think I was hiding

from my dreams.

As I grew older,

I thought that was a silly idea,

and so, I pursued a few.

Wow!  What a journey.

Here’s the thing …

Fear is the enemy.

You probably can do

a lot of things you want to do.

Will you kick fear to the curb,

and dream and do?

We Pick and Choose

We Pick and Choose

We get to pick,

to add to or to

leave out of our lives.

We pick our clothes,

our career, our mate,

our religion,

our goals and dreams.

We allow into our lives

those influences we choose,

the philosophies that leak in,

the books and movies

that appeal and stimulate.

It is our great power,

this power to choose.

Never let anyone

take it from you.

Never … ever!
