I Like to Write

Some people write to appear bright

Sometimes there’s light

When people write right

As for me I write to delight

I offer insight when I write

Some people cite what I write

I hate to rewrite

I try to write right

Do you ever get stage fright

I don’t, cause I write

Sometimes my words sit over night

I mull and stew, hope they come out alright

I once went on a nonstop flight

Simply to write and write and write

I think it was a frightful flight

That’s not the way I like to write
