The Leap is Scary

I’m scared.
I’m on the edge.
It’s time to leap.
Will I do it?
Would you?
You write.
What if nobody reads it?
Will you leap anyway?
You sing.
What if nobody comes to hear you.
To sing again is a leap.
You invent.
Will they buy what you invent?
Leap! Again and again … LEAP!
And then along comes faith.
Faith in self.
Faith in You and me,
In our ideas and our gifts.
And so we screw our
courage to the sticking post.
We leap.
No parachute.
No safety net.
No promise.
No guarantee.
We just leap!
Happy Landing,
again and again.
Keep leaping,
Always leaping.
