We’re searching for truth.
We grab at anything that ‘seems’ true,
but is it really?
Isn’t it more a case of
‘truth as I see it’?
I can believe anything that comes along,
and especially if it fits my favored narrative.
I went to social media and ‘news’ media for truth.
Turns out all I saw were slants.
Where is reliability?
Where is honest evaluation?
Truth has an agenda,
and it comes wrapped in
the ideology of the presenter.
Evangelists of truth are so blinded
by their own version of ‘truth’,
and they slam us for not buying
into their ‘truth’,
and for even holding an opinion
different from the one they hold.
Truth is somewhere, hiding,
waiting for an authentic voice
to be its mouthpiece.
Will we recognize it?
Will it sound different?
Will it come to be?
The bigger question is this …
Can we handle the TRUTH?
And the reasonable response is this …
God, I hope so.
I really hope so.
