Behold a seed.

It holds everything necessary

for life to be continued.

It’s all there,

in one little seed.

I search out seeds

of ideas, every day.

Looking for nuggets

of thoughts

that just may bring

hope alive in fellow travelers.

Behold the potential of a seed.

Behold the abundance one seed can offer.

With proper planting,

and nurturing,

the harvest bursts forth.

Is it a harvest of good …?

good food,

good shade,

good beauty,

good words and deeds?

I possessed the seed of

an idea once.

I thought, pondered, researched,

asked questions, wrote,

pondered some more.

And behold …

the seed grew into an entity,

an entity called Up-Words.

Bill Gates’ seed became Microsoft,

and then the Gates Foundation.

Mr. Boeing’s seed became a plane.

Thomas Jefferson’s seed became America.

Mustard seeds or avocado seeds ...

Small or large, they serve a purpose.
