Stop the Voices

Stop the voices in my head.

I’m not all that bad.

I’m not clumsy,

or drab, or chunky.

Stop it now, voices in my head.

I see good, I see great,

I see large possibilities,

I’m not a cheapskate.

Let’s practice that,

And let the negative voices abate.

I am growing, I am learning,

wait till you see 

what’s churning inside of me.

I like me,

I like where I’m headed

and I am headed

to good places you see.

So, your new language

sounds like this.

I can, I will,

I am able,

I have skills.

Listen to me.

Can’t you see?

When you and I agree

anything can be.
